Nature Play- Summer CAMPS

Week-long summer camps

A summer camp experience they'll never forget!

We’re back for our 8th year of summer camps, and we CAN’T WAIT to welcome your little one to our magical corner of nearby nature in Edworthy Park!  Our week-long camps offer kids days full of adventure, choice, imagination, quiet moments, playing in the stream, climbing trees, and making new friends. Each week has a different theme, but at Nature Play, the kids are in the drivers seat for their experience- we can’t wait to see what unfolds!

*we also offer therapy-based camps for kids who may need a lower ratio or a bit more support

Registration opens Feb 11, 10am!  You can log-on starting at 9:30am to create your account!

What makes our camps different?

  • Our summer camps are run by highly trained staff in the areas of child development, education, and environmental education. While we employ summer university students as our support staff, our lead instructors have many years of higher education, even more years of experience working with children, and most of us have children of our own!
  • We don’t adhere to a timed schedule- rushing from activity to activity is not developmentally appropriate and prevents kids from getting deep into play. We have a consistent flow for each day but intentionally minimize transitions. Kids have tons of flexibility about how they participate, can snack when they’re hungry, and rest when they’re tired.
  • Follow-up- each day, you will receive a detailed email summary from the instructor, complete with photos. Reviewing these emails with your child is a great way to talk through their day with them and get a little glimpse into the world of Nature Play!
